legitimacy of online reviews: a follow up

yesterday's post (which you can view by clicking here if scrolling sounds too laborious) talked about how online feedback seems to be losing legitimacy.

clearly, the issue was taken seriously by the chicago tribune, which posted its own article today about the legitimacy of yelp reviews. what's the world coming to when one semi-legible blog with 2 regular readers can influence the mainstream media?

i look forward to the new york times' exposé on the legality of "caution: falling ice" signs post haste.
