rebels at the taste

we headed off to the taste of chicago, because that's what we do here. while most of the creativity at the taste was focused on finding a new food that could be impaled on a stick and deep fried, there was one booth in particular that stood out - o'brien's. you might not guess, so i'll tell you: o'brien's is an irish bar/restaurant. from a marketing standpoint, their ads are, in a word, horrendous. in two words, very horrendous. but they got the taste of chicago booth right, by recreating the signature clocks that sit outside their restaurant.

most other booths simply had the name of their restaurant. as far as rule breaking goes, this was in the mild column. but this simple bit of staging was a nice reminder of just how easy it is to get noticed when everyone else is practicing MeTooism.
