last night, the cubs were playing the pirates and, as is normal for sporting events, a marketer's blimp slowly circled wrigley field throughout the evening. perhaps the blimp's driver was just following orders, but surely he had to notice the ballpark was empty. the game was being played in pittsburgh.

metlife's tagline these days is, "MetLife - for the 'if' in life." if flying over the wrong stadium was just a way of bringing that "if" to life, history might judge it as the most subtle ad ever.
