yesterday, for the third time this year, i found myself in a semi- constructed hotel. (two were with permission, BTW.) work days like that are always particularly rewarding because, much as i like my job, i like checking out other people's jobs even more, just to learn something new. in the most recent hotel construction site tour, i learned 2 things.
first, i learned the wire color codes. (if i remember correctly, heaters are brown, power supply B+ is red, screen grids are orange, transistor emitters are yellow, transistor bases are... wait, don't tell me... black! that's all i can remember off the top of my head.)
second, i learned that, no matter if the hotel being built is a budget hotel or an ultra-luxury hotel, the graffiti is equally inappropriate. at least to us office dwellers.
