so now what?

i came across this outdoor board yesterday. it made a decent enough point - that is, the recession we're in isn't the first and won't be the last. and it was attention-getting. as a reader though, it's hard to know what to do next. one billboard doesn't undo the feelings people have about the economy, their jobs, etc. according to a press release, the campaign's purpose is to help america collectively "take a deep breath." but without an online component to take action or way to spread the word once that breath's been taken, it just seems like Motivation Lite.

ftr, fwiw, and btw, the billboard is part of a new campaign by the outdoor advertising association of america or OAAA. notice how pronouncing their name makes you sound like you're in the midst of a karate lesson.
